"Words of God"
Bible Studies
Formatted for standard 8.5″ x 11″ letter paper, this series focuses on short phrases God speaks that are well worth committing to memory. Just two pages long and accessible, each study aims to help us understand and rely on the power of God's simple truths. His power enables us to live godly lives, walking in Jesus' footsteps.
Begin with the Bible study to hear what the Lord says; then consider meditating on the focal verse. Perhaps you absorb God's words well by writing down a verse to memorize during the week or by praying over it daily. If you are a visual thinker, try keeping a prayer doodlebook, letting your drawings connect the people and events of your life with these words of God. Example: If praying over the verse "Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus," you may find that your art includes names of loved ones who need strengthening. Or you might draw a tall, fruitful tree growing out of the words "be strong." Ask yourself why your art looks the way it does, handing your deepest needs and thanks to the One who answers prayer. Similarly, if you are a musical or a verbal thinker, try writing a song, poem, or spoken word based on the Bible verse. Speak to God about what you discover during such meditations with confession, in pleading, in faith and praise... always with thanksgiving.
Hard Questions
Bible Studies
Formatted for standard 8.5″ x 11″ letter paper, these challenging, in-depth studies confront difficult questions head-on. This truth-seeking series isn't afraid to ask hard questions aloud. For Jesus himself says, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (Jn 8:31–32).
